Knowledge Exchange Conversations
- Viewed 6 times
It suddenly dawned on me that with all the talk about knowledge
management, we may be missing the obvious. Namely, that we share
knowledge freely and naturally every day in our conversations. Whether
it is via telephone, email, webconferencing, etc., these are all modes
of knowledge exchange. The key is to be able to make those
conversations relevant, meaningful and valuable enough for us to want
to capture its essence, ergo, knowledge. Here are a few ways we can do
this:
1) Think about our conversations before we engage. This thinking can
be sponstaneous or pre-meditated.
2) Take notes and/or debrief with self and/or others after the
conversation.
3) Translate and capture that information with relevance into a
personal knowledge depository
Any thoughts on this?
