In November, 2004, Adam J. Kovitz broke away from a reputable management consulting firm which he co-founded, and immediately started Adam J. Kovitz International, a firm dedicated to connecting, educating and inspiring business. His focus was to expand on the themes of his earlier company to include strategic partnering and Networking, since he used both to grow his previous businesses. To keep in touch with his clients and associates, Adam launched The Networker in February, 2005. Being eager to continually improve, Adam found himself getting tired with the same themes of Networking continually being repeated by the various Networking gurus around. Furthermore, he was disheartened by the growing number of stories of those who invested their time, money, energy and effort in organizations only to get disappointing results. As a result, The Networker quickly rose to local fame due to its unique content: the emphasis was not on the usual stream of Networking tactics but on practical Networking strategy for business as well as Networking as an industry. By September, 2005, the publication officially changed its name to The National Networker as word was spreading to new subscribers from across the country. Realizing that demand for this information was high because it was nowhere to be found at the time, Adam began talking with others who believed in his ideas to join him as writers and researchers. Today, The National Networker is both a newsletter as well as website portal for all Networking activity throughout the world. Subscribers can read about Networking success by geographic area, profession or general interest without the hype, nonsense or sensationalism. Additionally, The National Networker provides information and resources to both business as well as membership-based organizations.
